1. Marcel Dionne

Dionne is one of the most prolific scorers in NHL history, ranking sixth all-time in points (1,771). Despite his dominance, he spent much of his career with the struggling Los Angeles Kings, never making it past the second round of the playoffs.

2. Jarome Iginla

A power forward with an elite scoring touch, Iginla was the heart and soul of the Calgary Flames for years. He came closest to winning in 2004 when the Flames lost in seven games to the Tampa Bay Lightning, but he never managed to claim a Cup despite multiple deep playoff runs.

3. Joe Thornton

One of the best playmakers in NHL history, Thornton won a Hart Trophy and recorded over 1,500 points in his career. He led the San Jose Sharks to the Stanley Cup Final in 2016, but they fell short against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

4. Eric Lindros

Lindros was a dominant force, blending size, skill, and physicality in a way few players ever have. He led the Flyers to the Stanley Cup Final in 1997, but they were swept by the Detroit Red Wings. Injuries cut his career short, leaving him without a championship.

5. Adam Oates

One of the greatest passers in NHL history, Oates recorded over 1,400 career points and was instrumental in elevating teammates like Brett Hull and Cam Neely. However, despite five trips to the conference finals and one Stanley Cup Final appearance, he never won it all.

6. Dale Hawerchuk

A Hall of Fame forward and a five-time 100-point scorer, Hawerchuk was a star for the Winnipeg Jets in the 1980s. Unfortunately, his teams often ran into dynasties like the Oilers and Flames, preventing him from reaching the summit.

7. Pavel Bure

Bure, known as "The Russian Rocket," was one of the most electrifying goal scorers the league has ever seen. He carried the Vancouver Canucks to the 1994 Stanley Cup Final, but they fell just short against the New York Rangers in seven games.

8. Henrik Lundqvist

One of the best goaltenders of his generation, Lundqvist was a model of consistency for the New York Rangers. He led them to the Stanley Cup Final in 2014, but the Rangers lost to the Los Angeles Kings. Despite numerous Vezina-worthy seasons, he never secured a championship ring.

9. Gilbert Perreault

Perreault was the leader of the Buffalo Sabres' famous "French Connection" line. He helped the Sabres reach the Stanley Cup Final in 1975, but they lost to the Flyers. Despite dazzling fans with his skill, he never won a Cup.

10. Brad Park

Often overshadowed by Bobby Orr, Park was a tremendous defenseman who finished as a Norris Trophy runner-up five times. He reached the Stanley Cup Final three times with the Rangers and Bruins but never claimed the prize.

While these players never lifted the Stanley Cup, their impact on the game remains undeniable. Their legacies are filled with individual accolades, unforgettable performances, and Hall of Fame careers. It just goes to show that even the best players sometimes need a little bit of luck to win hockey’s biggest prize.
